SFC版ドラクエ３をやっていてふと思ったことがある。

「なんか横文字の武器が多くないか？」


ドラクエといえば「こんぼう」だの「はがねのつるぎ」だのといった、ひらがな装備が多かったように思うのだが、どうにも「アサシンダガー」や「モーニングスター」なんてものが手に入ってしまうと、まるでFFをやっているかのような気分にさせられてしまうのである。いや別に悪いと言っているわけではないのだが。

そこで、シリーズごとに武器、防具の中に占める横文字武器の割合を調べてみた。
基準：名称が全てカタカナの装備をカウントする。装飾品は含めない。


ドラクエ１
武器　０／７
１の武器に横文字は無し。カタカナでさえロト以外には使われていない。
防具　０／１０
防具も同様。ロトのみ。

ドラクエ２
武器　１／１６
ドラゴンキラーが該当。せいなるナイフはひらがなが入っているので除外。
防具　０／１９
ミンクのコートは微妙なラインだが、除外。

ドラクエ３
武器　２／３３
ゾンビキラーとドラゴンキラーのみ
防具　２／３９
ドラゴンメイルとターバンが該当。

ドラクエ４
武器　５／３６
キラーピアスやブーメラン、バトルアックスが登場
防具　４／４９
ドラゴンシリーズが主。変わった所ではミラーシールドなど。

ドラクエ５
武器　１２／６５
総数が増えた分横文字も増えた。チェーンクロスやデーモンスピアなどが新規。
防具　１７／８９
メタルキングヘルムは微妙だが一応入れた。～メイルや～シールドが増えている。

ドラクエ６
武器　１３／６４
ほぼ変わらず。プラチナソードなどが登場。
防具　２０／８７
若干増えたか。鎧がやや横文字になりつつある印象。ステテコパンツを含めるのもどうかとは思うのだが…。

ドラクエ７
武器　１９／８７
比率はあまり変わっていないが、アサシンダガーやホーリーランスなど、ドラクエっぽくないネーミングが増えている。リメイクドラクエ３にも追加された武器が多い。
防具　３２／１１４
順調に増えている。ドレスなど女性専用装備が増えているのも影響があるか。

ドラクエ８
武器　３９／１００
すげえ増えてる。弓や短剣、ブーメランといった武器のジャンルが生まれたため、一気に横文字が増えたようだ。
防具　３８／１１７
やはり増えている印象。新規アイテムも大幅増のようだ。

ドラクエ９
武器　８４／２６８
数が膨大になって調べるのもめんどくせえ。わりとなんでもありな感じになってきたが、横文字の比率自体は下がったか。まああまり当てにはならないのだが、新装備ジャンルである爪や扇に横文字があまり使われないからだろう。
防具　１０３／３７６
多いわ。鎧が上下別れたり、腕装備や足装備が増えたせいでもはやカオス。今までのシリーズとは比較できない状況だ。



以上の結果からわかることは、やはり５でスーファミに変わったのが大きかったのだろう。ファミコン時代横文字が少なかったのは、そもそも容量制限で満足にカタカナが使えなかったからだと推測される。
また、最近のナンバリングではシステムの変更に伴い、新しい装備も増え続けているようで、もはや横文字装備も当然になっているようだ。

ゲーム容量の増加で自由な表現ができるようになったのは喜ばしいことだが、たまにはひらがなで書かれた「はがねのつるぎ」を装備した時の感動も、皆思い出して欲しい。

例えば久夛良木健氏は、プレイステーションのプロジェクトを立上げ、ソニー・コンピュータ・エンターテインメントを設立するときに、「品川なんて田舎にいたら新しいことはできない(ソニーの本社機能の大半は品川にある)」と言い放って、青山の246号沿いにカッコいいビルを借りて、そこをSCEの本社とした。 SCEがソニーグループの中にあって飛ぶ鶏を落とす勢いで成長し、ついにはSCE出身の平井氏がソニー本社の社長に上り詰めるまでの成功を修めたのが、オフィスの場所と無関係では決してあるまい。 もっとも、今はSCEも品川に引っ込んでしまったけど。 日本のMicrosoftも笹塚から新宿サザンタワー、そして品川へと本社機能を移動させている。

６階の謎の美容室に入っていく人を見たことがありませんし、５階まではだいたいみんなエスカレーターでのぼってしまうので、このエレベーターに乗る人というのは甘味処でスウィートな休憩をとる乙女か、１８禁フロアで延々パッケージの裏を眺める男子のみということになります。私といっしょにエレベーターに乗り合わせた男性が恥ずかしそうに８階のアダルトフロアのボタンを押すのがいいのです。

mixiの場合はPCベースのSNSからガラケーへの進化に成功して、進化していったという点ではうまく回っていたんですけど、やはり情報の基点となるmixiニュースがY！Jと並列提供になったあたりから雲行きが怪しくなり、やがて豪雨となってmixiを社屋ごと押し流して漂流オフィスとなり、フィリピンの離島へと流れ着き「これから皆さんには殺しあっていただきます」とビートたけしが言い、最後に勝ち残った笠原健治社長が増水した用水路の様子を見に逝って流され、帝国陸軍最後の一兵としてボルネオからジャワ、ラバウルそして東部ニューギニアと転戦し、激闘の末に負傷し雌伏を期して洞窟に潜伏している間に終戦を知らず現地人に発見されたころには西欧文明にかぶれた日本へ「恥ずかしながら帰って参りました」と舞い戻る飛行機を降りるタラップを踏み外して顔から着地するギャグを見せるも翌日台風の来る中で元気に池田信夫と堤防へ釣りに出かける後姿が最後の彼の目撃証言となった。

dayvmattt: I get a lot of asks regarding what kind of camera I use, and what kind of camera I’m going to buy when I have sold all of my books. Though I technically started shooting with a Pentax Program Plus, my first real camera-love was the Nikon F4. What an amazing camera that was. I shot with it for almost ten years. Even today, I have two broken bodies sitting in a box because I can’t get what I think they deserve for them. When the F4’s started acting up, I decided to take the digital plunge and picked up a used Nikon D1x on ebay for a few hundred bucks. The D1x was the camera that really got me into street photography. Sadly, I’ve since lost almost every shot I took with it due to a robbery and back then I didn’t shoot RAW; so the jpegs that survived are tiny. When the D1x started being a bitch, I took the lens off it and picked up a used Nikon D2H. Damn the shutter was fast, but like the D1X, the resolution wasn’t the best, and I was seeing a lot of wicked stuff coming out from people with slightly better camera’s so I wheeled and dealed a bit to get a Nikon D2X. It was a huge improvement. The D2X served me straight and true for a long time. I shot over 100,000 photos on it, and most of my book was made possible by it’s handling in the cold, the heat, the humidity, and the rain. It followed me to work, home, protests, cosplay, and into neighborhoods I can’t even begin to list. It did a fine job, and I miss having it in my hand.  For the future, I hope to be able to get a Nikon D3S. With the D800 and D4 coming out, I hope a good number of used bodies come out and their price isn’t as crazy as they are now. If prices of the D3S don’t drop significantly, I will probably pick up another D2X.  I know all about the D700 and D800. They ARE fine camera’s, but I just can’t get used to their smaller physical size. I have been told that I am irrational for saying so, but for me, they just don’t feel natural. I thought long and hard about moving to Canon, but every time I’ve picked one up it felt so alien I couldn’t even begin to think about jumping ship on Nikon. They’re both great camera companies, I’ve just been with Nikon for too long to switch.

健康診断で血圧担当がすごく美人だったので興奮して１回目の測定が上150になり「高いですね〜もう一回測りますね」と伸ばした手首にためらい傷みたいなのが見えて一気に110まで下がり「念のためもう一回」とバンド締め直してるときにおっぱいにちょっと手があたって170超えて今先生呼ばれてる
